Private Duty Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Sealy, Texas area to provide daily living assistance and personal care in patients’ homes, following physician-established care plans. Care is provided one-on-one at the patient’s residence. This is a 1099 contract opportunity. Scheduling will be arranged among the CNA, patient, and case manager. The current need is for a flexible schedule of 20 hours per week, suitable for supplemental or PRN work. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check. Compensation is $16–$19 per hour.
Requirements
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Current 2-Step TB Test.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move patients.
- Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a clinical care setting, preferably home health.
Responsibilities
- Execute physician-prescribed plans of care and document care provided in the system of record.
- Administer prescribed treatments and therapies.
- Perform patient assessments and coordinate care.
- Assist with activities of daily living, communication, and monitoring vital signs in the patient’s home.
- Communicate with patients’ family members, doctors, and other prescribed individuals about patients’ health.
- Provide other personal care services as needed to meet the patient’s needs.
