Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA Days
About The Position
Voorhees Pediatric Facility is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to support holistic care for medically fragile infants, children, adolescents, and young adults, including residents who may have significant medical complexities or cognitive impairments. Working under the direction of a licensed practical nurse and registered professional nurse, the CNA provides attentive, courteous care in a nurturing, home-like setting and helps ensure care is delivered promptly according to each resident’s individual schedule. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, working three 12-hour shifts. Compensation is $22.27 per hour. Night shifts are eligible for a $1.00 shift differential. A $1,500 new-hire sign-on bonus is paid in three installments at 30 days, 90 days, and six months after the hire date.
Requirements
- Current New Jersey Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) licensure.
- Current, active CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC), including cognitive and skills training.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent timekeeping skills.
- Ability to manage the demands of multiple residents and provide prompt attention and care.
- Ability to assist with patient lifting, turning, repositioning, and transfers.
Nice To Haves
- One year of long-term care experience.
Responsibilities
- Feed, dress, and bathe patients.
- Respond promptly and courteously to requests from patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including handling linens and waste and maintaining patient rooms.
- Ensure patients receive care in a timely manner and according to their individual schedules.
- Assist with patient lifting, turning, repositioning, and transfers.
