About The Position

Regency Hospital - Upstate is a critical illness recovery hospital that provides inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Certified Nursing Assistant plays a central role in providing compassionate care to patients during vulnerable and difficult moments. The position is full-time on the day schedule, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., in Anderson, South Carolina.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience of at least 3 years.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assistant or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers as needed, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
