About The Position
Care Initiatives is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to join its compassionate care team in one of more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. The role supports residents during their healthcare journey by assisting with daily living, providing companionship and emotional support, monitoring health, and helping create a safe and engaging environment. Day shifts are available, with full-time and part-time schedules offered.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that support residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
