About The Position
Wapello Specialty Care, a 46-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Wapello, Iowa, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for day shifts. The role supports residents through daily living assistance, health monitoring, companionship, communication, and participation in recreational and therapeutic activities. The CNA is expected to follow infection-control protocols and contribute to a clean, safe, inclusive care environment. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive, engaging environment.
- Monitor residents’ health by administering medications and conducting routine vital checks.
- Communicate and interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to support health and daily routines.
- Follow infection-control protocols and help maintain a clean and safe environment.
