About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Monitor Bed Unit (MBU) provides essential, hands-on patient care under the direction of nursing staff. This role is vital in supporting patient comfort, safety, and overall well-being in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in North Carolina
- Basic Life Support (CPR) – required
- High School Diploma or equivalent – preferred
- Previous CNA experience preferred
- Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
- Flexibility to work varying days based on patient care needs
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, mobility, and meals
- Obtain and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs
- Support nurses with patient care and documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams
- Promote patient comfort, dignity, and safety at all times
