About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides resident care services at The Hearth at Drexel in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. This is a part-time position scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., totaling 30 hours per pay period. The role involves providing personal care, supporting residents’ meals and daily routines, assisting with restorative nursing, and observing and reporting changes in residents’ condition. The CNA is expected to treat residents respectfully, use equipment safely, and work as part of the care team.

Requirements

• CNA license in the state of Pennsylvania.

• One year of geriatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents with respect while providing personal care, including baths and showers, oral hygiene, skin, hair, and nail care, monitoring fluid intake and output, and toileting.
• Assist male residents with daily shaving and female residents with facial hair shaving as necessary.
• Assist with serving meals and feeding residents, and document meal consumption as necessary.
• Provide residents with fresh drinking water each shift.
• Use good body mechanics when lifting or moving residents.
• Use equipment competently and safely, including Hoyer lifts and Ergo lifts.
• Assist with the Restorative Nursing program and complete daily documentation.
• Plan and organize care so residents can attend activities or therapies.
• Function as a team member.
• Make regular rounds to residents and provide necessary care.
• Respond promptly to call lights and provide or obtain necessary care.
• Observe and report unusual symptoms, changes, accidents, and injuries to the charge nurse.
