About The Position

Healthstaff Services Inc. is a home care staffing agency providing one-on-one services to clients in their homes. The company is seeking dependable, forward-thinking, compassionate professionals to enhance clients’ quality of life. This opening is for a Certified Nursing Assistant serving clients in Griffin/Spalding County on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The CNA provides personal hygiene and assistance with activities of daily living, monitors and documents patient status, supports patient comfort and safety, follows workplace policies and procedures, protects confidential information, and maintains job knowledge and licensure.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification or license in the State of Georgia.
• CPR/FA certification.
• Six months of experience.
• Skills in multitasking, medical teamwork, bedside manner, infection control, nursing, health promotion and maintenance, creating a safe and effective environment, informing others, judgment, pain management, and acute/critical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene, including assistance with bedpans, urinals, bathing, backrubs, shampoos, shaving, and travel to the bathroom.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including serving meals, feeding patients as needed, ambulating, turning, and positioning patients.
• Provide fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Check vital signs and weight, test urine, and record intake and output information.
• Use available resources and materials to provide patient comfort and report patient observations to the nursing supervisor.
• Complete forms, reports, logs, and records documenting actions.
• Follow policies and procedures to maintain work operations.
• Keep patient information confidential.
• Maintain job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining licensure.
