About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (also referred to as a Certified Nurse Aide) to support residents in its skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. This role focuses on compassionate, respectful resident care, assistance with daily living, health monitoring, companionship, and support for recreational and therapeutic activities. The position is full-time, with an evening schedule of 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and every other weekend.

Requirements

• Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
• Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive, engaging environment.
• Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
• Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that support residents’ health and daily routines.
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
