About The Position
Otterbein Tipp City is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA/STNAs) who are state-tested and listed on the Nurse Aide Registry. The role provides a wide range of resident support services under the supervision of a nurse, helping residents feel comfortable and as independent as possible while receiving person-centered care. Positions are offered full-time or part-time on night or day shifts, as well as PRN.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) certification required in the State of Ohio; applicants must have passed the state test and be listed in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry.
- Satisfactory completion of an approved nurse aide training program and required testing and certification.
- Good communication skills and the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
- Good documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use proper lift techniques and lift equipment to move, lift, and transfer residents.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with preventative, therapeutic, and restorative nursing procedures while following safety and infection-control policies.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, feeding, dressing, ambulating, and transfers.
- Provide support services under the supervision of a nurse and help residents remain comfortable and as independent as possible.
- Complete accurate, efficient, and timely documentation and report defective equipment or potential safety hazards.
- Interact with residents, families, health care team members, and coworkers in a pleasant, respectful, and cooperative manner.
- Attend required in-service programs in accordance with facility and state or federal guidelines.
- Respect and maintain residents’ dignity, privacy, and confidentiality under the Residents Bill of Rights.
- Perform other assigned duties or duties arising from needs, including disposing of soiled linen.
