Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA/STNA
About The Position
Otterbein is seeking skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA/STNA) to provide person-centered care in the Loveland Small House Neighborhood. Partners in Caring work together to respect residents and their choices, helping them feel comfortable and as independent as possible. The role provides support under the supervision of a nurse and includes assistance with daily activities, accurate documentation, meal planning and cooking, and light household tasks. Full-time and part-time positions are available on first, second, and third shifts, as well as PRN. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour and increases with experience. Shift differentials are $3.00 per hour for second shift and $1.50 per hour for third shift.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) certification is required in the State of Ohio.
- Applicants must pass the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry.
- Good documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use proper lift technique and lift equipment to move, lift, and transfer residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with day-to-day tasks such as bathing, eating, ambulating, and hair care.
- Provide a range of support services under the supervision of a nurse.
- Help residents feel comfortable and as independent as possible in their daily lives.
- Provide accurate, efficient, and timely care documentation.
- Plan and cook residents’ favorite foods and share meals with them.
- Complete laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
- Perform other duties as needs arise or as assigned.
