The Certified Nursing Assistant supports patient care and center operations by locating patients, obtaining vital signs, triaging and assessing patients, and preparing them for examinations and treatment by Physicians and Nurses. The role uses the electronic medical record system, communicates patient symptoms and care needs to clinical staff, and assists with treatment, laboratory work, and phlebotomy. It also includes sterilizing instruments, managing supplies and laundry, maintaining treatment-area cleanliness, and operating medical and office equipment. The CNA follows established policies, procedures, and ancillary guidelines; completes assigned checklists and Policy Manager tasks during the shift; and attends scheduled staff meetings, CPR classes, and code drills. The employee reports to the Charge Nurse before leaving at the end of the shift and may need to assist at any center during staffing or center emergencies or reductions in work. Breaks and mealtimes may be interrupted to provide patient care or maintain center operations. The role emphasizes teamwork and positive, professional, and friendly service.
