About The Position

Westhaven, a Cassia community, is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide person-centered care to older adults. CNAs assist residents with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, and help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. They work closely with nurses and other team members to support residents’ well-being, performance, and independence. Full-time day and evening shifts and a part-time night shift are available. A $1,000 bonus is offered.

Requirements

• Current Iowa Nursing Assistant certification is required.
• Desire and passion to help aging adults with daily needs.
• Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.
• Ability to work a consistent work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Help residents reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse according to individualized care plans.
• Take and record residents’ temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse, and respiration as instructed; report changes or concerns to the RN.
• Document services performed using a computerized charting system.
• Assist residents with prescribed program activities.
• Observe residents and report changes in physical or emotional condition, including changes in attitude, reaction, or appetite, to the supervisor.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.
