About The Position

Mission Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join its Med Surg Overflow nursing team. As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will support Registered Nurses in providing hands-on patient care and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. You will assist patients with vital signs, mobility, and personal care, help nurses monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans, and contribute to patients’ comfort and dignity.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in North Carolina.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitoring patient conditions, and carrying out care plans.
