About The Position
Covenant Living is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide direct daily care to residents in an assisted living setting. The role supports the organization’s purpose of creating joy and peace of mind for residents and their families, within a supportive, faith-based community centered on teamwork, respect, and service. Positions are also available in skilled nursing and memory care. The CNA assists residents with personal care according to procedures and daily assignments, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers. The position also helps with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. CNAs prepare residents for meals, assist with serving and feeding, and may be cross-trained in Assisted Living. The position reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state.
- Listing on the State Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct daily care to residents.
- Assist residents with basic personal care, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers.
- Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
- Keep resident rooms clean and orderly by changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothing is marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away.
- Notify a supervisor when residents need clothing.
- Prepare residents for meals and assist with serving meals and feeding residents.
- Follow direction from the nurse manager, licensed nurses on duty, or other supervisory staff.
