Certified Nursing Assistant, Assisted Living, Full Time 2nd Shift
About The Position
Covenant Living is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily direct care to residents in an assisted living setting. The role supports residents with basic personal care according to established procedures and daily assignments, helping promote their quality of life and provide peace of mind to residents and families. The position reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. The CNA may be cross-trained in Assisted Living. In addition to personal care, the position assists with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. Duties include helping residents with bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers; maintaining clean and orderly resident rooms; handling resident laundry; and preparing residents for meals and assisting with meal service and feeding.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state and passing its test.
- Listing on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to residents each day.
- Assist residents with basic personal care, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers.
- Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
- Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothing is marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away.
- Notify a supervisor when residents need clothing.
- Prepare residents for meals, assist with serving meals, and feed residents as needed.
