About The Position

Signature HealthCARE of Carrollton Rehab & Wellness Center is a 78-bed facility offering short-term rehabilitation and traditional long-term care. The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel and helps promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Care is provided within the CNA’s scope of practice, state regulations, and each resident’s plan of care.

The position offers 8-hour overnight shifts from 11 PM to 7 AM, with rotating weekends. The salary is up to $22.40 per hour. Signature HealthCARE describes its culture as built on Learning, Spirituality, and Intra-preneurship, with initiatives intended to support team-member growth.

Requirements

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer-service orientation and ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Ability to function independently, with flexibility, personal integrity, and effectiveness working with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Provide activities of daily living within the scope of practice and in accordance with state regulations and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other assigned information.
• Turn and position residents as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards in assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist with orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Complete other special projects and duties as assigned.
