Certified Nursing Assistant CNA
About The Position
Brookdale is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide seniors with personalized care in a community setting. CNAs work with community management, share resident status updates at the beginning and end of each shift, check in with residents, assist with dining and personal care, and perform vital sign checks and clinical procedures according to community policy. The role offers opportunities to pursue career advancement, including Medication Technician (QMAP), Home Care Aide, and nursing positions. Successful completion of a State CNA/STNA course is required, and certification must be maintained. In Ohio, the position is referred to as State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA).
Requirements
- Successfully complete a State CNA/STNA course.
- Maintain CNA/STNA certification.
Responsibilities
- Work with community management to provide seniors with personalized care.
- Give resident status updates at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Check in with residents.
- Assist residents with dining and personal care needs.
- Perform vital sign checks and clinical procedures according to community policy.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including showers, bathroom assistance, dressing, and grooming.
- Maintain CNA/STNA certification.
