About The Position

Otterbein is seeking compassionate, skilled part-time night-shift Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA/STNAs) to provide high-quality, person-centered care in Skilled Nursing. Working 12-hour shifts, CNAs support residents’ independence by assisting them with daily activities while encouraging them to do as much as possible for themselves. The role provides a wide range of resident support services under nurse supervision and requires accurate, timely care documentation. The schedule is 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., every other weekend and holiday. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour, with increases based on experience. Shift differentials are $3.00 per hour for hours worked from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and $1.50 per hour for hours worked from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Otterbein describes its team members as partners in caring and emphasizes person-centered care that respects residents and their choices. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) certification required in the State of Ohio.
Must pass the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry.
Good documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to use proper lift techniques and lift equipment to move, lift, and transfer residents.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily tasks, including bathing, eating, ambulation, and hair care.
Provide a wide range of support services under the supervision of a nurse.
Help residents feel comfortable and maintain as much independence as possible in their daily lives.
Provide accurate, efficient, and timely care documentation.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
