About The Position

Beacon Specialized Living supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and autism, helping them live independent and fulfilling lives. The Certified Nursing Assistant helps individuals served reach personal goals and live meaningful lives as part of a supportive team that values respect, compassion, and teamwork. Shifts are 12.5 hours, with full-time and part-time schedules available.

The role provides hands-on support with daily living skills and personal care, helps create a safe and positive home environment, and supports community participation, social engagement, recreation, and personal development. The CNA also assists with household tasks, transportation, advocacy, documentation, and medication administration as directed. Paid training is provided.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid CNA license.
• Compassionate and patient when supporting individuals with disabilities or mental health challenges.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable and reliable, with the ability to follow through.
• Able to stay calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Enjoy helping others and be willing to learn new skills and grow in a career.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living skills, personal care, and goal setting.
• Create a safe and positive environment where individuals served feel supported and respected.
• Assist with meal preparation, housekeeping, and keeping the home organized.
• Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and community events.
• Advocate for individuals served and keep accurate documentation of services provided.
• Administer medications as directed; training is provided.
• Support social engagement, recreation, and personal development.
