About The Position

Concordia at Bethlen is seeking individuals to join their CNA Training Program. This program offers paid training to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, including classwork and lab skills. The CNA Class runs for three weeks and has limited seating. Concordia covers the cost of the class, materials, and pays participants during the training period. Upon graduation from the class, students will be paid $20/hour while working on the floor before testing. Shift differentials are available for afternoon ($2.50/hour) and midnight ($1.00/hour) shifts. After obtaining CNA certification, the base wage increases to $21.25/hour. Full-time and part-time positions are available for various shifts, including an every-other-weekend rotation.

Requirements

• Must be caring, compassionate and understanding
• High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• assisting residents with eating and drinking
• ambulating, transferring, toileting, bladder and bowel management
• personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, turning and positioning
• documenting the care that was provided
• providing treatment per the ADL/treatment book
• answering resident call bells and responding to needs promptly.
