November CNA Class - Train for Free!
About The Position
Concordia Lutheran Ministries is offering a unique opportunity for individuals to train for free to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This paid training program includes classroom instruction and lab skills, running for three weeks with selective seating for top candidates. Concordia covers the class, materials, and provides hourly pay during the training period. Upon graduation, trainees receive a different hourly rate while working on the floor before testing, with additional shift differentials for afternoons, midnights, and weekends. After obtaining CNA certification, the base wage increases. Full-time positions are available, including an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. The next CNA class begins in November and requires full attendance. The training will take place at Concordia at Rebecca Residence, with employment following at Concordia at Villa St. Joseph.
Requirements
- Must be caring, compassionate and understanding
- High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred
- Must be able to make every class to be eligible.
Responsibilities
- assisting residents with eating and drinking
- ambulating, transferring, toileting, bladder and bowel management
- personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, turning and positioning
- documenting the care that was provided
- providing treatment per the ADL/treatment book
- answering resident call bells and responding to needs promptly.
