About The Position

Concordia at Bethlen offers a unique opportunity to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) through a paid training program. This three-week program includes classwork and lab skills, with selective seating for top candidates. Concordia covers the cost of the class and materials, and you will be paid during the training period at a rate of $17.50/hour. Upon graduation from the class, you will earn $20/hour while working on the floor before obtaining your certification. Additional shift differentials of $2.50/hour for afternoon shifts and $1.00/hour for midnight shifts are available. Once certified, your base wage will increase to $21.25/hour. Full-time and part-time positions are available across all shifts (daylight, afternoon, midnight) with an every-other-weekend rotation. Apply now for a competitive spot in our upcoming CNA class!

Requirements

• Must be caring, compassionate and understanding
• High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with eating and drinking
• Ambulating, transferring, toileting, bladder and bowel management
• Personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, turning and positioning
• Documenting the care that was provided
• Providing treatment per the ADL/treatment book
• Answering resident call bells and responding to needs promptly
