About The Position

Concordia at Villa St. Joseph is offering a unique opportunity to train for free to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This paid training program includes classroom instruction and lab skills, running for three weeks with selective seating. Concordia covers the cost of the class, materials, and provides pay while you attend. Upon graduation, you will return to Concordia at Villa St. Joseph for employment. The training program emphasizes providing direct care for residents in an environment with excellent staffing ratios.

Requirements

Must be caring, compassionate and understanding
High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred
Must be able to make every class to be eligible.

Responsibilities

assisting residents with eating and drinking
ambulating, transferring, toileting, bladder and bowel management
personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, turning and positioning
documenting the care that was provided
providing treatment per the ADL/treatment book
answering resident call bells and responding to needs promptly.
