About The Position

Select Specialty Orlando Central is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Certified Nursing Assistants play a central role in delivering compassionate care. This position is based in Orlando, Florida, and is scheduled for three 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers as needed, and assist transporters with moving patients into and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment, including bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
