About The Position
Northwest Florida Community Hospital is seeking a compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join its Skilled Nursing Unit in a full-time day-shift role. The CNA provides direct care and helps residents with activities of daily living while promoting their comfort, dignity, safety, and well-being. The role works under the direction of nursing staff and as part of a healthcare team. The position is based at 1360 Brickyard Rd, Chipley, Florida 32428. Applicants tentatively selected for the position must complete a criminal history check and screening for illegal drug use before appointment. A final job offer depends on successful completion of all pre-employment requirements, including these screenings.
Requirements
- Current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
- Provide quality, compassionate care to residents under the direction of nursing staff.
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and other activities of daily living.
- Obtain and document vital signs and other patient information as assigned.
- Assist with repositioning, transfers, ambulation, and maintaining patient safety.
- Answer call lights promptly and respond appropriately to resident needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
- Observe and report changes in residents' condition to the nurse.
- Assist nursing staff with patient care and other duties within the CNA scope of practice.
- Follow hospital policies, procedures, infection-control standards, and safety guidelines.
- Provide respectful, compassionate care while maintaining patient confidentiality.
