About The Position

Indiana Masonic Home Compass Park is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join its CNA team. The position is based at the Health Center in Franklin, Indiana, within Compass Park, a 320-acre community in Johnson County adjacent to Indianapolis. The CNA provides quality care to facility residents, documents care, reports relevant changes, and works cooperatively with staff and other departments.

Requirements

• A valid Indiana State Department of Health Nurse Aide Certification is required.
• Moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
• Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills.
• Auditory and visual skills.

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 6 months of prior nursing experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care to facility residents.
• Complete assigned duties and assist other staff with their assignments when able.
• Document care delivery accurately and in a timely manner.
• Report pertinent changes in residents to the immediate supervisor.
• Work cooperatively and respectfully with other facility departments.
• Work scheduled days and arrive on time.
• Follow the Charge Nurse’s directions and complete assigned tasks.
• Follow safety precautions specified in each resident’s plan of care.
• Assist with orienting new staff members.
