About The Position
Northwest Florida Community Hospital is seeking a compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistant to work full time on the Skilled Nursing Unit during the day shift. The CNA provides direct care to residents and assists with activities of daily living while supporting their comfort, dignity, safety, and overall well-being. The position works under the direction of nursing staff and requires effective teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to quality patient care.
Requirements
- Current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality, compassionate care to residents under the direction of nursing staff.
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and other activities of daily living.
- Obtain and document vital signs and other patient information as assigned.
- Assist with repositioning, transfers, ambulation, and maintaining patient safety.
- Answer call lights promptly and respond appropriately to resident needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
- Observe and report changes in residents' condition to the nurse.
- Assist nursing staff with patient care and other duties within the CNA scope of practice.
- Follow hospital policies, procedures, infection-control standards, and safety guidelines.
- Provide respectful, compassionate care while maintaining patient confidentiality.
