About The Position
Brookdale Virginia Beach is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate, personalized care to senior residents and help them maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life. The role works with community management and includes checking in with residents, assisting with dining and personal care, checking vital signs, and performing clinical procedures according to community policy. CNAs provide resident status updates at the beginning and end of each shift. Shifts listed are 7 a.m.–3 p.m., 3 p.m.–11 p.m., and 11 p.m.–7 a.m. Brookdale offers opportunities for career growth, including possible advancement to Medication Technician (QMAP), Home Care Aide, or Nurse roles. Professional development, training, and health and wellness programs are also available. Benefits vary by employment status. Requirements
- Successful completion of a State CNA course is required; Ohio roles require State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) qualification.
- Must maintain certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care to senior residents while supporting their dignity, independence, and quality of life.
- Work with community management to provide resident care and give resident status updates at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Check in with residents and assist with dining and personal care needs.
- Perform vital sign checks and clinical procedures according to community policy.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including showers, bathroom assistance, dressing, and grooming.
- Maintain CNA certification.
