Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Completion of a state-approved CNA certification training course
Current CPR certification
Ability to think and work independently and with direction
Good communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Up-to-date identification
Basic computer skills
Excellent personal hygiene

Responsibilities

Help clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, serving meals, eating, turning, and ambulation
Take vital signs
Observe clients for injuries, wounds, or changes in condition
Communicate information about conditions and care plans as appropriate
Assist with toileting and personal care
Help clients safely transfer into beds, wheelchairs, and chairs
Clean and maintain client areas, including changing bed linens
Stay up-to-date on CNA training, policies, and procedures
Provide compassionate companionship and support
