About The Position
Care Initiatives is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join its compassionate care team at one of its skilled nursing communities in Iowa. The role focuses on supporting residents throughout their healthcare journey by assisting with daily living, providing companionship and emotional support, monitoring health, and encouraging recreational and therapeutic activities. The position is available for evening shifts and may be full-time or part-time.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor resident health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that support residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
