About The Position
Wapello Specialty Care, a 46-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Wapello, Iowa, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). This role supports residents through daily care, health monitoring, companionship, communication, and participation in recreational and therapeutic activities. The position is available on full-time or part-time evening schedules. Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating, and pass medications.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Monitor residents’ health by administering medications and conducting routine vital checks.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
