About The Position
Lantern Park Specialty Care is a high-acuity, 90-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Coralville, Iowa. The Certified Nurse Aide supports resident-centered care and helps residents with daily living, health monitoring, and participation in recreational and therapeutic activities. The role involves compassionate communication with residents, families, and the healthcare team, and following infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment. The position is available full-time or part-time on evening shifts. Care Initiatives emphasizes professional growth, inclusion, and respectful care for residents and colleagues.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
