About The Position

Gateway Rehab, located in Florence, Kentucky, is a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital providing services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. The hospital helps patients regain physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home with the highest possible level of independence. The Certified Nursing Assistant assists licensed nursing personnel with patient care. This includes providing and documenting activities of daily living, personal hygiene and grooming, and maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe environment. The role uses basic infection-control procedures and basic nutrition and fluid-intake skills, and requires recognizing and responding to emergency situations. The position is full-time, day shift, with 12-hour shifts. The posting advertises new 2026 rates and a $3,500 bonus opportunity.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience as a Nurse Aide; other relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Nursing Assistant, as applicable in the state of employment.
• BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within six months of hire.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Must be free from illegal use of, and effects of use of, drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

• Acute care or LTAC experience preferred.
