About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides compassionate, hands-on support to skilled nursing residents with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care. The role involves observing residents and reporting changes in their physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff; helping maintain a clean and safe environment; and partnering with nurses on physician-ordered procedures and resident care. The position is based at Via Christi Village Ridge in Wichita, Kansas, in the Skilled Nursing department, on the evening shift.

Requirements

• Nurse Aide certification obtained before the hire date or job transfer date is required.

Nice To Haves

• BLS Provider certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with residents’ daily living activities, mobility, and personal care.
• Observe residents closely and report changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff.
• Identify hazards and promptly report safety concerns to nurses to help maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Partner with nurses to assist with physician-ordered procedures and resident care.
