About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides compassionate, professional support to residents in the Skilled Nursing Unit at Wesley Ridge. The role assists residents with daily routines and personal care, responds promptly to requests, supports dining and restorative care, and helps maintain a clean, safe living environment. The CNA observes and reports changes in residents’ conditions and documents care activities. The posting lists full-time shifts and part-time every-other-weekend shifts, with overnight and daytime schedules.

Requirements

Valid Ohio State Tested Nurses Aide (CNA) license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of compassion.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation.
Respond to call lights and provide timely assistance.
Participate in shift reports at the beginning and end of each shift.
Support dining services by collecting menu tickets and assisting with meals.
Perform restorative procedures as instructed.
Observe and promptly report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or cognitive condition.
Help maintain a clean and safe living environment.
Launder residents’ belongings and assist with room tidiness.
Document resident care activities in electronic systems, such as AOD.
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as directed.
