About The Position

Beacon Specialized Living supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and autism, helping them live independent and fulfilling lives. The Certified Nursing Assistant helps people served reach personal goals and live meaningful lives as part of a supportive team focused on respect, compassion, and teamwork. The role offers full-time and part-time schedules with 12.5-hour shifts. Paid training is provided, including CPR, de-escalation, and medication administration.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid CNA license.
• Compassionate and patient when supporting individuals with disabilities or mental health challenges.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to follow through.
• Able to stay calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Willingness to learn new skills and grow in a career.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living skills, personal care, and goal setting.
• Create a safe and positive environment where individuals served feel supported and respected.
• Assist with meal preparation, housekeeping, and keeping the home organized.
• Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and community events.
• Advocate for individuals served and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
• Administer medications as directed; training is provided.
• Support social engagement, recreation, and personal development.
