About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant delivers direct care to residents and patients in a skilled nursing home in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and life care standards. The CNA supports residents’ wellbeing while helping them maintain dignity and independence. Newly certified CNAs are welcome. The position is available full-time and part-time at Aviata at Central Park in Brandon, Florida.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Florida CNA license.
- Ability to read and communicate at an adequate level for essential job duties.
- Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
- Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.
- Caregivers must complete the employer’s new-hire orientation.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for residents’ personal needs, safety, and comfort.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility.
- Help with daily tasks such as using the telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery.
- Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Observe and report changes in residents’ condition and status.
- Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents.
- Assist with dining, including escorting residents to the dining room, serving, and cleanup.
- Provide companionship and conversation.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
