About The Position

Visiting Angels Boise is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants to provide in-home support to seniors and others in need throughout Boise and nearby communities. The role includes companionship and practical assistance with daily activities, mobility, personal care, meals, transportation, and light housekeeping. Caregivers may also support clients with prescribed medication and routine exercises, and must respond responsibly to emergencies. The position offers opportunities for advanced training in areas such as dementia and Alzheimer’s care. Full-time, part-time, PRN, and flexible shift options are listed; available shifts include 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts, days, and weekends.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and a genuine caregiver disposition.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate manner.
Good time management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Do clients’ shopping or accompany them while they shop.
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
