Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
About The Position
Generations at Applewood in Matteson, Illinois, is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to work full-time evening shifts from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The schedule includes every other weekend, both days. The employer does not offer alternatives to the specified shift times. Pay is $19–$22 per hour depending on status and benefits selected, with a $2 evening shift differential and an additional $2 per hour when assigned to the Vent unit. Generations at Applewood is a 24-hour rehabilitation and skilled nursing community serving residents throughout the Chicagoland area. The facility recently opened a Complex Care Respiratory Unit. Requirements
- Current State of Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; no waivers accepted.
- At least 2 years of experience as a CNA, including experience working in a skilled nursing facility.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Current flu vaccination receipt or a bona fide religious or medical exemption.
- High school diploma or GED.
- CPR certification.
- Knowledge of JCAHO, OBRA, IDPH, and HFS regulations as they relate to job duties.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Compassion, tolerance, and understanding of older adults.
- Professional conduct and a positive attitude.
