The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) locates patients, obtains vital signs, triages patients, assesses their medical condition, and prepares them for physicals and treatment by physicians and nurses. The CNA uses the electronic medical record system, communicates patient symptoms and requests to clinical staff, assists with patient care and treatment, performs assigned laboratory duties and phlebotomy, and prepares and sterilizes instruments. The role also includes ordering and restocking supplies, maintaining treatment-area cleanliness, completing biological cleanup according to OSHA guidelines, handling laundry, operating and maintaining medical and office equipment, and completing assigned checklists and Policy Manager tasks during the shift. The CNA follows center policies and directions from clinical leadership, attends scheduled staff meetings, and reports to the Charge Nurse before leaving. Staff must remain available to support patient care and center operations, including when breaks or mealtimes are interrupted. A professional, friendly, and collaborative approach is expected.
