Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Emergency Department. The selected candidate will perform patient-care activities and related non-professional services to support the personal needs and comfort of patients of all ages, under the direction and guidance of professional and nursing personnel. The role assists with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, circulates in the Emergency Department, and transports patients to radiology and other units. This is a full-time night-shift position, scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. Other hours may be required for effective department operation.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Unit Secretary experience, including clerical and computer experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient-care activities and related non-professional services to support the personal needs and comfort of patients of all ages.
- Assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Assist in the Emergency Department as a circulator.
- Transport patients to radiology and other units.
