About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Longview office is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants to support seniors and others in need throughout East Texas, including Longview, Hallsville, Kilgore, Marshall, Gladewater, Carthage, and Henderson. The role provides companionship and assistance with daily living, ranging from light housekeeping and meal preparation to mobility assistance and transportation. The position offers opportunities for advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility in and around the home and outside, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Do clients’ shopping or accompany them when they shop.
Perform light housekeeping duties clients cannot complete on their own.
Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
