Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (NOC) - Mental Health 101
About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant provides care in Skilled Nursing Facilities that responds to the physical and psychological needs of members served and is consistent with recovery-centered care principles. This role is at Morton Bakar Center, a Skilled Nursing Facility providing psychosocial rehabilitation and skills-building support for older adults ages 65 and above with a primary diagnosis of severe mental illness. The position is full-time on the NOC shift, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, with days varying as needed. Expected starting pay is $23.00–$27.63 per hour; the applicable range depends on geographic location, and starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification.
- Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must hold current CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications from hands-on courses on the date of employment or before providing direct client care, and maintain current certifications throughout employment.
- Must successfully complete and receive acceptable results from the applicable post-offer physical examination, two-step PPD tuberculosis test, criminal background clearances, excluded-party sanctions screening, and degree or license verification.
- If driving is required for the position, a valid driver license, motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance are required at employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
