About The Position
Elderwood at Hamburg is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide hands-on care and support across our skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and memory care services. As a CNA, you’ll help residents maintain their comfort, dignity, mobility, and independence while working alongside a collaborative nursing team. We offer several ways to join the Elderwood team: Full-Time CNA: Regularly scheduled facility position with benefits eligibility. Part-Time CNA: Consistent reduced schedule with benefits eligibility. Per Diem CNA through Elderwood Staffing Solutions: Flexible scheduling and premium per diem pay through Elderwood’s internal staffing team. Elderwood at Hamburg is conveniently located for CNAs throughout Hamburg, Orchard Park, West Seneca, East Aurora, Eden, Angola, Derby, Evans, Blasdell, and surrounding Southtown communities. Your final rate will be based on the position, schedule, shift, and applicable experience.
Requirements
- Seventeen (17) years of age required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Employment Certificate/Permit required for 17 years of age.
- Registration in the State Nurse Aide Registry (CNA) is required. Active on the State Nursing Aide Registry with no findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment or misappropriation of property.
- Ability to supervise and work well with other personnel
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
- Caring and respectful attitude towards residents
- Physical stamina for constant activity required.
- Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required.
- This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.

Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care aligned with each resident’s care plan
- Observe and report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Support residents’ emotional well-being and engagement
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment
- Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and your care team
