About The Position

Moments Hospice is hiring a full-time, field-based Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), also referred to as a Hospice Aide. The CNA provides hands-on personal care to hospice patients in private residences, assisted living settings, and care facilities, helping them remain comfortable and preserving their dignity. The role also provides companionship to patients and support to their families. The CNA works closely with an RN Case Manager as part of an interdisciplinary care team. The employer describes the setting as supportive, with clear expectations, reasonable caseloads, structured training, and opportunities to build skills. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and pays $18–$23 per hour. It is field-based and includes access to a fleet vehicle for business and personal use, with fuel and insurance covered at minimal cost.

Requirements

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Ability to work in an electronic medical record system.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including active listening.
• Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Compassion, patience, and the ability to handle emotional situations with care.
• Strong understanding of professional boundaries.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and a good understanding of body mechanics.
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare caregiving experience in home care, assisted living or memory care, skilled nursing, a hospital, or hospice.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and skin care.
• Assist with lifting, transferring, positioning, range of motion, exercise, and ambulation.
• Assist with dining and nutrition.
• Review and follow each patient's plan of care under the direction of the RN Case Manager.
• Provide comfort and companionship to patients and support to their families.
• Maintain electronic medical records.
