About The Position

NurseCore is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants for long-term care and home health opportunities in Troy and Columbia County, New York. CNAs provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and support patients with daily activities and care needs. The position offers per-diem work with flexible scheduling and daily or weekly pay. The listed pay is $18.00–$20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the State of New York.
At least 1 year of CNA experience in a supervised setting within the past 3 years.
TB test and physical examination completed within the past year.
Successful completion of the skills assessment specific to the area of practice.

Responsibilities

Perform direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Assist patients with dressing or undressing, bathing, and eating.
Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs; do not start or administer intravenous fluids.
Assist physicians and nursing staff with procedures as needed.
Document patient interactions as needed.
Plan and accomplish goals using limited experience and judgment, working under general supervision.
