About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join a healthcare team in Waterloo. The CNA will provide high-quality, hands-on care and support to residents or patients while promoting their comfort, dignity, safety, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, reliable, and works well as part of a team. The position is listed as contract and per diem, full-time, or part-time, with day, evening, and night shifts. Pay starts at $22 per hour.

Requirements

Current CNA certification in New York.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
One year of long-term care experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable, compassionate, and professional.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, lifting, and assisting with patient transfers.

Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
Take and record vital signs and other patient information as directed.
Assist with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and mobility.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents or patients.
Observe and report changes in residents' condition to the nursing staff.
Assist with meals and monitor food and fluid intake as needed.
Provide compassionate emotional and social support.
Follow facility policies, procedures, and infection-control guidelines.
Accurately document care provided.
Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
