About The Position

Signature HealthCARE of McCreary County Rehab & Wellness Center is a 60-bed facility offering short-term rehabilitation and traditional long-term care. The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel and helps promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment in accordance with facility policies and procedures. The role supports person-directed care and resident rights and choices while carrying out duties within the scope of practice and each resident’s plan of care.

Requirements

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer-service orientation and ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Ability to function independently, demonstrate personal integrity, and work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Provide activities of daily living within the scope of practice and each resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linens and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other assigned information.
• Turn and position residents as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist with orientation and training of other staff as requested.
• Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
