Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA/STNA
About The Position
Otterbein is seeking a skilled, compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) to provide person-centered care at its Marblehead senior care community. Working under the supervision of a nurse, the CNA supports residents with daily activities and helps them remain comfortable and as independent as possible. Otterbein Marblehead is located on 47 acres near Lake Erie and Lakeside Chautauqua. The community includes independent living homes and apartments, assisted living units, and nursing care suites in two GreenHouse homes. The position is offered as full-time, part-time, or PRN. Starting pay is $18.50, increasing with experience, with shift differentials of $3.00 for second shift and $1.50 for third shift.
Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/STNA) certification required in the State of Ohio.
- Must pass the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry.
- Good documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to use proper lift technique and lift equipment to move, lift, and transfer residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, eating, ambulating, and hair care.
- Provide support services under the supervision of a nurse.
- Help residents feel comfortable and maintain as much independence as possible in their daily lives.
- Complete care documentation accurately, efficiently, and on time.
- Perform other duties as needs arise or as assigned.
